Another version of our OM605 VNT manifold. Previously, we designed it to work with the 3 bolt flange M57 turbochargers. Over time, it became clear that these turbos where often too small, resulting in excessive backpressure and high EGTs (exhaust gas temperatures). Transitioning to the V-band from the newer-generation engines was inevitable. This allows you to use a factory turbo capable of 250 hp, which can be found in many upgraded forms (e.g., Turbosystems) and can easily push 400+ hp from your setup. The manifold itself is very light (6 kg), compact, and simple—no wastegate flange needed. It’s shaped so that everything sits above the cylinder deck and should clear most engine bay beams. In most cases, the turbo must be clocked, as its stock position in most BMWs is not compatible with high-mount setups. Keep in mind the turbo flange is positioned in front of 2nd cyl. Running an EDC pump or another type of geometry control is recommended. We now offer ceramic coating as an option for all our manifolds. We use the highest-grade Cerakote products which sustain up to 1000C and are rust protective. Please note that coated manifolds are not kept in stock, and an additional one-week lead time is required to properly complete the coating process. The last photo is a sample photo of the Bronze color coating. NOTE: Turbo will perform much better using Baldur`s DSL1 ECU. OEM Garret number is : 758351 or 758351 We`ve also seen it marked as : GT2260 We`ve attached a drawing showing the manifold V-band dimmensions for further clarity and comparrison if you already have a turbocharger. Please note that warranty claims for cracked manifolds will not be honoured with the lack of a flexible coupling on your downpipe.
